Oh dear. I've played through some City Interactive duds, but this reaches new lows. I don't really understand how anyone at City Interactive or who worked on this game thought they could ever get an ounce of positive feedback releasing a game which would have been bad if it were released ten years prior.

There's no story. The entire game takes about 1.5 hours with only eight repetive levels. Entire rooms and layouts and copy-pasted. The design is dominated by corridors and small rooms with doors everywhere, all flat and un-detailed.

There are a few highlight areas where rooms open out into multi-tiered balconies. When you make your way outside into the city with rain coming down the design is slightly better. But the darkness, rain and random blurriness of some levels makes it very hard to see anything.

The difficulty settings are odd with only very easy and normal. But the combat itself ends up too easy anyway. I only died a few times and there were no boss fights or progession in difficulty to speak of. You have a team-mate (sometimes two) throughout the game and they're good enough to clear out most of the rooms for you.

The game is powered by the F.E.A.R. engine, like many other City Interactive games. So you can expect the same sort of thing they normally produce but this time even shorter and crappier. F.E.A.R. looked better than this game in 2004, and even then F.E.A.R. looked dated for it's time. So you can only imagine how this game stacks up in 2009.
